Dress Codes & Policies

The Arcola dress code contributes to the tradition, decorum, and dignity of the Club and applies to the entire Club property from the time of your arrival.  Warm-up suits, jeans, or tank tops are not permitted on Arcola property at any time.

GOLF ATTIRE

Gentlemen should wear appropriate golf attire consisting of collared shirts, slacks or Bermuda length and style shorts (tailored to a maximum of two (2) inches above the knee). 

Short sleeve mock turtleneck shirts, walking shorts, cargo shorts, denim/jean shorts or pants, athletic shorts, or any  type of drawstring shorts are unacceptable attire.

Shirts shall always be tucked in and a belt worn.

Hats are not to be worn backwards and may not be worn in the Clubhouse or in any outdoor dining area.

Ladies may wear golf shorts, slacks or skirts (tailored to a maximum of two (2) inches above the knee).  Shirts must have sleeves or a collar. 

CLUBHOUSE ATTIRE

Main Level of the Clubhouse -
In the formal dining and living room, men are required to wear jackets and ties at all times.  Women are required to wear appropriate business or evening wear.

In all other areas, golf attire is acceptable, but no shorts allowed after 5:00 p.m.

Golf shoes are not allowed on the main level, except in the women’s locker room.

Lower Level of the Clubhouse -
Golf attire is permitted at all times.

Outdoor Dining -
Golf attire, including shorts, is permitted at all times.

Men wearing shorts may not enter or exit through the main entrance regardless of whether or not a jacket is worn.

GENERAL RULES

Golf shoes with steel or ceramic spikes are not permitted.

Please replace all divots, rake bunkers, and repair all ball marks.

Follow cart signs where posted.

Play quickly – our average member round is enjoyed under four hours.

The use of cell phones, pagers, or other communication devices is strictly prohibited in the Clubhouse or on the grounds with the following exceptions:

1) in the Members' Business Center located near the administrative offices on the third floor of the Clubhouse

2) while in the car in the parking lot

3) to report 911 emergencies the occur on Club property. 

At no time are cellular phones to be turned on while on Arcola property except as provided above.

Pets are not allowed on Arcola property.

Gratuities are encouraged for the Caddiemaster, caddies, coat check, locker room, and parking lot attendants.  Gratuities are prohibited for any other employee or staff.

CLUB POLICY ON
ALCOHOL SERVICE

Appropriate alcohol service should be consistent not only with the law but also with proper decorum.  The Club’s policy shall be to refuse alcoholic beverages to anyone who, in the opinion of the staff on duty, should not be served.  This policy shall apply equally to members and guests.  The staff member’s decision shall not be subject to review.  The Club’s policy is to support its staff in the implementation of this policy on alcohol service.
